RJ O’Brien, the United States oldest and largest independent clearing firm, and parent company of RJO Futures, has added some shiny new awards to its already prestigious trophy case. R.J. O’Brien was given the FOW International Award for Best Non-Bank FCM and the CTA Intelligence Award for Best FCM – Client Services.
Best Non-Bank FCM
In December of 2019, RJ O’Brien was given the FOW International Award for Best Non-Bank FCM
This marks the fourth year in a row, a panel of judges, selected RJO as Best Non-Bank FCM following a survey in which participants where asked which non-bank FCM had the largest impact in 2019.
Luke Jeffs, the Managing Editor of Global Investor Group, praised RJO saying, “”R.J. O’Brien has demonstrated its market leadership this year by continuing to diversify its geographic reach and enhancing its senior management.”

As previously mentioned, the FOW was not the only award the parent company of RJO Futures received.
Best FCM – Client Services
For the second consecutive year, the magazine CTA Intelligence, recognized RJO for their excellence in Client Services by giving them the 2018 award for Best FCM – Client Services. The award recognizes U.S. based service providers in the managed futures industry who demonstrate world class customer service and product innovation and growth over the past year.
RJO is no stranger to winning CTA Intelligence awards. This year’s award marks the firm’s third, and second consecutive, Client Services award and sixth award overall.
RJO Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Gerald Corcoran, felt gratification winning this award, saying, “We are truly dedicated to providing outstanding client service so winning this category – particularly against some of the biggest banks in the world – is very gratifying. Thanks to CTA Intelligence for celebrating the art of service and selecting RJO once again.
While elated with the recognition, RJO does not intend to rest on its laurels, the company looks to use this recognition as a building block for the future and continue its excellence.
Additional RJO Division Awards
In addition to the three consecutive Non-Bank FCM of the Year awards, RJO’s London-based UK affiliate won the magazine’s prestigious Editor’s Choice Award for 2015, based on factors including growth prospects, company achievements and successful collaborations and acquisitions. RJO’s private client division, RJO Futures, also won Wealth & Finance International magazine’s award for “2018’s Most Trusted Financial Brokerage Firm” – the first time a futures brokerage has earned the award.RJO’s private client division.
