A number of world oil benchmarks forged significant new highs for the move to start out the new trading week. Seeing crude oil prices like Brent and Dubai reach significant price levels would seem to suggest that US crude oil pricing is actually lagging behind the rest of the world. In fact, US December crude oil has only managed to reach a 1 month high with the Monday rise. An issue that might provide some support to prices going forward this week is a series of planned refinery maintenance shutdowns and hurricane Matthew in the event it's path veers to the West.
